MAP SWITCHING

What Does Switching ECU Map’s Mapping Do?

In essence, map switching allows dynamic selection between several sets of car’s performance levels. If programmed correctly, mappings can be easily switched - most of the time you’ll just have to perform a simple sequence of switches/buttons on your car’s dashboard/control panel. Depending on the car model, you can do it with the engine switched on or off, though the ignition must be on in all cases.

How Does It Work?

Implementation of map switching adapts the ECU’s software function for dynamic switching between several sets of performance level maps. Each map can be bound to the original car buttons, allowing easy and intuitive switching between ECU configurations.

The user can specify the configurations in the additional information window. For instance, you can have one performance level dedicated to road use, while you set up the other for racing. Another example option is switching between high-performance and economical modes.
